Benefits of a quality content diet
Quality brain food as a creativity enhancer.
Culture → having dots | Intelligence → connecting dots | Creativity → connecting long-distance dots |
Culture
Culture is building material for intelligence and creativity.
Without dots to connect, no matter how smart and creative you are, you will hardly find the positive outcomes you’re looking for:
Interesting conversations
Artistic mastery
Innovative problem solving
etc.
However, not all dots are worth popping in your headspace.
Everyone agrees that shitty food ⇒ shitty body.
Same goes with content:
Shitty brain food ⇒ shitty cognitive ability.
That’s why I really dig the concept of “content diet”.
Intelligence
Now, regarding, intelligence—assuming that intelligence is IQ—there’s not much we can do.
According to this video, IQ is:
50% genetics
40% environment
10% education
Creativity
Creativity, however, can be exercised and it starts—once again—by curating your brain inputs. Discover (many) more tips in George’s creativity thread:

Brain food I collected
Anyway, in an attempt to adjust my “content diet”, I’ve sat in many “restaurants” in 2023.
I think I found some quality brain food. Here’s my cerviture (French for “brain food”).
